MerleJam.com is a site dedicated to fundraising for the MerleJam Transplant Fund. Set up through Saint Luke’s Hospital Foundation to provide assistance to pre- and post-op heart transplant patients and their families. The Mid America Heart Institute and the Midwest Transplant Network statistically are perhaps the best programs of their kind in the country. The funds raised are administered by the Foundation and the Heart Institute Social Worker. The concerts on May 1st & 2nd 2009 will be held at Knuckleheads Saloon in Kansas City. It is planned as an annual event for the first Saturday of May each year. Additional fundraising efforts are also being explored to keep the fund growing. Private donations are always welcome and should be made to: Saint Luke’s Hospital Foundation -MerleJam Transplant Fund.
