With my art I try to bring hope where there is none, to bring happiness when there is only darkness, to replace nihilism with faith in humanity. As we plead for democratic ideals all over the world, we need to remember that the most convincing proof of the fruit of democracy can be found in our own museums, concert halls, and arts curriculum... I believe with the right kind of education we can overcome many bad stories like war and genocide, and learn to live in peace with our neighbors and the planet, but it will take many generations. Art is a journey, not a destination.
These painting are a selection from the works I have created in Japan, 1994-. More than 500 works have been sold during that time. Everyday, I am painting and adding new works.
