Reindeer Games

Nothing says “Merry Christmas” like a pair of robotic reindeer. So here is the tale of my Cybernetic card of Christmas past from the future to the world. It’s a tale of excitement. And danger. From the Darkside. Prepare to be underwhelmed. Special messages for my Japanese readers!

Step 1: Release from their cardboard tombs the flat-packed metal beasts of Christmas past. Last Christmas, to be specific.

Step 2:  Assemble the mechanical mammals. No tools required, but I elected to use a hammer and a sharp knife.

Step 3: Consult Feng Shui reference book for the most auspicious placement.

Step 4: Stake the wobbly wire reindeer to the most auspicious spot in the front yard.

Step 5: Run precariously serpent-like extension cord from front porch to auspicious reindeer spot.

Step 6: Add extension cord #2 because auspicious reindeer spot is two feet beyond extension cord #1.

Step 7: Add extension cord #3 to reach reindeer #2.

Step 8: Connect Reindeer power supplies to Voltron-ed extension cord system.

Step 9: Disregard warning labels regarding multiple extension cording.

Step 10: Plug extension cord #1 into outlet.

Step 11: Admire my handy work.
Step 12: Enjoy a celebratory glass of tempranillo.
