Apple TV

Here's another idea to Apple and I hope they do not send me a rude letter.

Apple has revolutionised the way people listen to music. When I was a teenager there was no convenient way to make my whole music collection portable. Now it is anywhere I want it. Home, work or on the road, the iPod plays and we listen...

I hope Apple can revolutionise again with television. They have their slices of the consumer and professional sound, video and image editing markets so the technology and the know-how is available now. What are they waiting for?

Here is my guess: they are going to buy Avid. Avid have a big slice of the professional video editing market, respect from their industry and the experience of doing it longer than anybody else. Why would Steve Jobs not want to tell his audience, here's what you liked about Final Cut Pro, and here's what you'll love about Avid.

You can imagine that Apple's Avid products will be in both pro and consumer categories. People have been asking for Mini's to replace Tivo's for a while. Without recording capabilities built in, I do not think the current Mini is the answer yet.

So, Apple can make a way for us to watch television again. Video could be recorded by the computer and played back on the iPod, a screen or wirelessly.

Maybe then we would stop listening to music on our iPods.http://www.apple.com/au/http://cbs5.com/investigates/local_story_103023852.htmlhttp://www.apple.com/au/itunes/http://www.avid.com/http://www.apple.com/au/macmini/shapeimage_2_link_0shapeimage_2_link_1shapeimage_2_link_2shapeimage_2_link_3shapeimage_2_link_4
