On 30th January 2007, Sophia had undergone a three and half hour surgery to correct her cleft lip. The surgery went well. Dr. Giorgio La Scala from Hospital University Geneva (HUG) did a wonderful job. Sophia stayed in the hospital for five days. Mom and Dad: totally exhausted. Below are pictures leading to the surgery and after.

Sophia mustered a little smile.
