As I started into the work force I learned quickly everything is a negotiation.  Everyone wants something and nothing is for free... or is it?  I know it’s free when it comes from the right place

Getting out of Dodge/Baghdad!

Ok, it’s time to leave the creature comforts of the CPIC (Coalition Press Information Center).   Now that I have my new media press credential it’s time to deedee mow for Mosul.... way up North.

Not often in a lifetime do you get the chances to truly define who you are and what you believe in.  So, here I go again, off to Iraq in support of our troops.

For those of you who know me I don’t need to say any more.  For those who don’t, it’s like this.

I’m an American.  First and foremost I’m a father and a husband trying to do the very best I can for those I love and while I’m at it, my country too.  Because I believe in this country and this way of life.  A way of life worth fighting for.  So for my family and my country, here I go again in support of fellow Americans that are willing to fight for what makes this country the greatest Nation on earth.

No matter who you are or what ever your personal views are about the Iraqi War, Civil War, Insurgency, Global War on Terrorism...  How ever you define it, fellow citizens just like you and I are taking the risks... for us, doing the fighting... for us, and sometimes dying for all us.  All so we can maintain our security at home, our freedoms, our way of life.

We should never forget that everyone of them has someone back in the states who cares very deeply for them, friends, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and a like.  Not often enough does their individual story get any of the media’s light.  And least of all the sacrifices of the families they leave behind when they are deployed.  So in some small way I hope to bring some of that light to the individual sacrifices of just a few that sacrifice for so many of us for our freedoms  and  securities here at home, “A Soldier’s Story”.   Rock on Ernie!

So, here I go again...  Never forget who you are and what defines you!  As a person or a Country.
