Ok, it’s time to leave the creature comforts of the CPIC (Coalition Press Information Center). Now that I have my new media press credential it’s time to deedee mow for Mosul.... way up North.
But on the way out I tried to get over to another camp to say hello to an friend who is back on his second deployment with the 2SCR Strykers. To say the least he wasn’t there when I arrived so it’s off to LZ Washington to get yet another Blackhawk ride over Baghdad to BIAP (Baghdad International Airport). For my flight up to Mosul with the fine men and woman of the Air Force.
But while I was on Camp Prosperity I came upon the oddest of sites. A thirty foot high bronze head of Saddam. I just had to get a picture. The one I attached is the one fit to print... the other while still very funny was fit to print... this is a family channel I am broadcasting on. I’ll show it to you later. Off to the airport.
It’s going to be a long night sleeping on the concrete. My checkin isn’t until 7:30 AM tomorrow. At least there aren’t any scorpions or camel spiders here, I think.
