The man standing next to me is SSGT. Jamison Danecker.  He is the shit!!!  SSGT. Danecker is the man responsible for for several soldiers and many times with the life and well being of the entire Platoon, Company and sometimes the Battalion.  He has a sixth sense about him.  He chooses the routes they take.   Avoiding the IED’s the enemy leaves behind for them.   Where ever they need to go, he knows the way.. and the way not to go.   And it is always changing, just as the enemy changes.  

 

On this day were out looking around a farmers field.  We were trying to figure out what they were growing... he was right, sunflowers.  Lucky guess Daneker.

 

Daneker is a character in the series we are doing... and I mean he is a character.  His soldiers love him, I know they do.  But more than that they respect him.  They know he will do everything he can to prepare them for what ever they may encounter.  His a true warrior in every sense of the word.  He and SGT Boone have the respect of their peers and the respect of the young men they lead...  And they are pretty dam fun to be around.

 

I know he does things to try and make me laugh or catch me off guard... Daneker.
