YOUTH MUSIC GROUP IS A 501c3 non-profit organization with a mission of providing opportunities in music for young people. we promote active engagemenT in the arts as opposed to passive entertainment by the media. as a result of music making YoUNG PEOPLE WILL Become more creative, focused, and disciplineD and will learn essential skills in music as well as in life and work. Each of our programs highlights to the community the best of these young people.  Our programs also bring together the diverse communities of Jersey City/Hudson county, New Jersey by supporting music making by student, amateur and professional musicians.

Jersey CITY YOUTH CHORUS & AFTER SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM

AN AFTER SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM AT THE JERSEY CITY MARION GARDENS PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECT ENGAGING CHILDREN AGES 6-13, IN POSITIVE MUSICAL AND RECREATION ACTIVITIES INCLUDING:

Singing American and International Folk Songs

    Playing Musical Instruments and Writing and Producing an Internet radio program

Engaging in Cultural Arts Experiences with their families

Performing in public concerts throughout Jersey City and broadcast through local media

Hudson County Music

Promoting community amateur and professional musical collaborations
