We had two skin-on-frames at Pier 7 Wednresday night.  Dave brought my newly finished racing frame and Jenny brought the greenland style frame she just finished.  Dave wrapped both frames in pallet wrap and we did our test paddles.   And they float!  The initial stability is a little tippier than my surfski but the SOF has a wide area of secondary stability at what feels like less than a 45 degree angle from the bottom.  The surfski has secondary stability but it’s at close to 90 degrees from the bottom.  I’m very happy with the design.  I couldn’t roll the boat because I didn’t have a spray skirt, but the cockpit is tight enough that I’m confident it will be easy to roll.
