In June 2006, Rick Wiebush invited me, Gina Cicotello, Bob Huber and Bob Knill to scout out a trip with him.  We took the ferry with our kayaks to Smith Island.  From there we kayaked down to the island of Tangier where we spent the night in a B&B.  The next day we kayaked down to an unnamed deserted island where we camped for the night.  The trip ended with a long but scenic kayak back to Saxis past island after island in the Chesapeake Bay, most of which were sanctuaries for wildlife.  There are very few island in the Bay which are suitable for camping.
