Halloween 2006
Halloween 2006
Shannon has a small crisis when the catwoman costume she ordered from ebay fails to arrive by noon Saturday. So we rush to the costume store where she buys another catwoman mask and makes the rest of the costume from scratch. Here she is trying on the gloves with claws she created by gluing fake black fingernails on a black glove. The stiches on her pants were created with masking tape and glow in the dark paint. The tail was made out of black panty hose stuffed with socks.
I found a great pirate hat at the costume store and decided to make a pirate girl outfit like one I found online.

Here we are at the Takoma Park house party. Shannon loves being catwoman! I thought my pirate chick costume was pretty good. Most people knew what I was but several people asked if I was a mouseketeer??? I guess I didn’t look evil enough.
Anyways the party in Takoma Park was a blast! Apparently these guys have been hosting this party for 20 years. Every room was decorated including the bathrooms.

Or watch ... The Takoma Park Halloween Movie!
We left the party in Takoma Park around 11:30 and headed to another party in Adams Morgan. We were hoping this one would be a little less crowded but it was just as packed. The crowd was a bit younger and their costumes weren’t as elaborate but there was one very interesting costume ... I won’t spoil the surprise.
Check out the photos and see for yourself.
One last photo shoot .... it’s about 4 am before setting the clocks back for daylight saving time and the evening is coming to an end. Shannon had us do one more photo shoot.
After she leaves I’m still wired but I curl up in bed with a book and pretty soon I’m sound asleep.
It was a great Halloween Party nite!
