Certified Nursing Assistant Course
Participant Eligibility
Participants must be able to read and write in English and add and subtract.
Program Days and Times (The days may need to be adjusted due to holidays)
Classroom: Monday thru Friday for one week. 7:00 am - 2:30 pm
Clinical: Monday thru Friday for two weeks. 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Tuition
The tuition is $800.00 for the 105 hour Nurse Aid course. The tuition includes orientation, 4-hour review before testing, one certification-testing fee of $70.00, and a Certified Nurse Aide lapel pin after certification.
Registration
Candidates may register and take the pre-test for the Health Careers Training & Development (HCTD) program in the business office of the Indiana Fundamental Bible College at 68080 Division Street (County Road 23), New Paris.
Enrollment
1. A physical exam and a TB skin test (TST) are required before beginning the clinical training. The TST can be obtained from the Elkhart County Health Department for $12. A Nurse Practitioner will be available to give the physical on orientation day for $45.00 cash or you may go to your physician for the physical and/or TST. The physical and TST will need to be done less than one month before the class, or will need to be repeated.
2.The tuition fee of $800.00 in cash or money order is due on the day of orientation.
3.A criminal history check will be completed before clinical training begins.
4.Scrub uniform of royal blue (or navy) pants or skirts and yellow, blue, and/or white print or solid tops with patch pockets are required for the classroom and clinical training.
5.Perfect attendance is required for the training.
6.After successfully completing the classroom and clinical training, a course certificate will be issued by HCTD and employment may begin. The candidate must successfully pass the ISDH Nurse Aide competency evaluation within 120 days of being employed by a long-term care facility.
7.Typically, the Nurse Aide competency evaluation will be scheduled within 2 weeks to take place at the classroom sight after course requirements have been met.

Qualified Medication Aide Course
Participant Eligibility
Participants must:
1.be able to read and write in English.
2.be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
3.be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
4.have received a high school diploma or a GED.
5.have completed a CNA training course.
6.provide a recent criminal history check, completed not more than 1 month prior to enrollment.
7.have completed at least 1,000 hours of work experience as a CNA in the past 24 months.
8.be included on the Nurse Aide Registry with no verified findings.
Program Days and Times (The days may need to be adjusted due to holidays)
Classroom: Monday and Thursday 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm for 8 weeks or 64 hours.
Clinical: To be arranged with the facility; must include 40 hours of medication pass.
Tuition
The tuition is $800.00 for the 100 hour Qualified Medication Aide course. The tuition includes text, review, and one certification-testing fee of $60.00.
Application
Candidates may apply with Health Careers Training & Development (HCTD) in the business office of the Indiana Fundamental Bible College located at 68080 Division St., New Paris, Monday thru Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm.
For enrollment you are required to provide:
1. Driver’s license or picture ID
2.Social security card
3.Copy of high school diploma or GED
4.Copy of CNA training certificate
5.Copy of ISDH certification letter
6.Copy of recent State criminal history check (not more than 30 days before)
7.Proof of 1,000 hours of work as a CNA in the past 24 months (a form will be provided)

Health Careers Training & Development offers the Indiana State Department of Health 105 hour Nursing Assistant Course. This program includes 35 hours of classroom instruction and 80 hours of clinical experience in a licensed nursing facility. Successful completion of the classroom and clinical portion leads to registration for the State Certified Nursing Assistant Competency Evaluation given by Professional Resources.
Health Careers Training & Development offers the Indiana State Department of Health 100 hour Qualified Medication Aide Course. This program includes 60 hours of classroom instruction and 40
hours of clinical experience in a licensed nursing
facility. Successful completion of the classroom
and clinical portion leads to registration for the
State Certified Qualified Medication Aide Test
given by Professional Resources.
Medical Assistant Associate Degree
Participant Eligibility
Passing with a score of 80% or greater on pre-enrollment exam.
Program Days and Times (The days may need to be adjusted due to holidays)
Classroom: Monday thru Thursday 7:00 am - 2:00 pm for 12 months.
Tuition
The tuition is $6,500.00.
Offers the candidate to work in physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers and hospitals.
Trained to assist in both the clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Medical Terminology
Required for many positions in Health Care.
Tuesday and Thursday 3 pm - 6 pm for 8 weeks
Tuition is $800.00
