San Matias Facilities

Our teams stay in Juarez, Mexico at a local church that has retreat and conference center.  These facilities are well-equipped by Mexican standards, complete with electricity, a heating and cooling system, running hot water, a bath house, bunk bed dorms, a small common room, a large common room, a basketball court, and parking inside the facility!

This facility always has someone on location watching the property and is fenced all the way around the lot.  We consider it secure, but as on all mission trips, bring valuables at your own risk, as we can never guarantee against mysterious disappearance of items!  Part of Mexican culture is a natural recycling... when you leave something sitting around, that means it’s up for grabs...

Food is prepared on site, by one of the staff.  It is all mexican and it’s delicious!  Hot salsa is served on the side for people who prefer non-spicy food.  I have never heard complaints, so give it a chance, and always remember the missionary mantra... “Lord, where you lead me I will follow, and what you feed me I will swallow!”

San Matias does not currently have internet, but donations toward setting that up would be greatly appreciated!
