Home of the meringue

On the way back from Grindelwald we stopped over at Meiringen, which is apparently the birth place of the meringue and the death place of Sherlock Holmes (the first time Conan-Doyle killed him off, that is). Apparently the Reichenbach Falls, from which Holmes fell while fighting Moriarty were close by, but we didn’t go visit them, since waterfalls make a better spring/summer visit than a winter visit. Next time, maybe. However, Xoco poses here next to a very London-type street sign, so he gets a bit of the London feel he’ll miss out on when Georg and I travel to London next week.
