Why a Rainbow Dome Home:
I know it seems strange to paint your home all of the colors of the rainbow, but we feel so strongly about these Monolithic Structures or Domes, and how safe and secure they are that we decided to finally show the world just how much!!!! And why not really make a statement by using the seven colors of the rainbow. Another reason why we've painted Xanadu all the colors of the rainbow is simply for FUN! Our kids have always loved rainbows and I think just about everyone is in awe when they see a beautiful Rainbow in Sky. We wanted to bring that awe of light, split into its 7 different frequencies or rays, down to earth and into our home. One of the secrets to life is Light and when it is viewed in it's 7 rays, it has a seemingly amazing affect on the viewer! Rainbows have always been inspiring and uplifting and we have learned that what you put out always comes back to you multiplied. So why not put out Light! All life is made up of Light, so we know we are attracting more of that light back unto us! Also, Xanadu is just incredible to see from an aerial view! You can see many pictures taken from a helicopter on our website. Also there are many books written about the Power of Color and how it affects us. For instance red might make you feel energized, while the color aqua can sooth. It has been said that color affects us on all levels! Saving Lives, Property and Energy:
Our Earth since the beginning has been and will continue to go through many changes. Mother Earth and her Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Cyclones and Tornados, to mention a few, have begun to awaken us all to not only where we live and work, but especially what kind of home we live in. When rebuilding from a disaster, there are alternative homes and structures that cost no more than conventional construction, that can save lives and property. The "Monolithic Domes" are Solid Concrete, Steel and Insulation and the shape of a Dome can withstand almost anything that mother nature throws at them. We painted Xanadu the colors of the Rainbow to attract attention and hopefully open up the eyes of the public and the government to rebuild homes and structures that will save lives and property. A Monolithic Dome Home uses about 1/2 of the energy of a conventional home, helping to save energy and in fact the energy savings will pay for your Dome Home in about 20 years.
Safety:
These Monolithic Domes are made of Concrete, Steel, Insulation and are practically indestructible. They have withstood the direct hits of Tornados with over 300 mile per hour winds. They are also hurricane proof, earthquake proof, fire proof and almost sound proof. They cost approximately the same as stick frame and brick homes and sometimes even less, but they will last hundreds of years with little or no maintenance. With all of the Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Cyclone Tsunamis and Earth Changes we all need to stop thinking in the box and living in boxes, that can be blown away by the Big Bad Wolf. All of the recent disasters require people to wake up to a choice. And with all of the money that is going to be spent rebuilding from these earth changes, their choice is, that they can rebuild a home and/or buildings, that probably will never be destroyed again. Freedom:
Freedom is an attitude, feeling, knowing and most importantly a "Free Will Choice". Living in these domes expands your freedom, you sleep good at night, knowing that your home is secure and feel free to live your life without fear. Having a practically indestructible home allows you to have, feel, know and choose more freedom. Most homes are square which doesn't allow the energy to flow, such as cold spots in the winter and hot spots in the summer. Monolithic Concrete Dome Homes don't have any cold or hot spots. Like heat and cold, all of the energy continually flows, helping to create a good feeling of freeness. Freedom is one of the things that a Dome Home gives you.
Fun:
We had so much fun painting Xanadu, the Rainbow Colors of Light, that it is almost impossible to describe. Our architect Ray, my mate Nina Joy and daughters, Now, Star, Iam and myself started painting the domes on September 30 and finished 8 days later on October 7, 2005. We had a 4-wheel drive, 40 foot tall Genie Lift and I drove it all around the domes as we rolled 7 colors of the rainbow. With 2 coats each and 3 coats on the yellow, 37.000 square feet of surface. Talk about a fun experience. People will either love "Xanadu of Sedona", The Rainbow Dome Home or they will not care for it at all. It is our intention and desire to brighten the whole area, nation, world and even the Universe. We know even the satellites will be able to see them bright and clear. We are having great "Fun" with Xanadu and we hope you do too.
