This is a Really short bio....!

My nick? “Wild” was already used, so I went medieval on the spelling of it!

I’m native Californian, but have lived in Canada and the UK for a number of years.

I’m into many different things, but my main loves -outside of Macs!- are my dogs and music.

I’m also into things about medicine.

You’ll see a site about ‘nfb’ (National Federation of the Blind). Well, I was born 3 months early, and for that reason I was put into an incubator where the oxygen therein and my retina had an argument.  Pictures here show who won.

I have been legally blind from then. However, what you never had you don’t miss, so it’s no ‘big thang’ to me...., only bummer is, They won’t let me drive a car (You can breathe a sigh of relief now) and in Southern California that is a big hindrance sometimes.

You’ll notice I have a website here about insulin pumping. I’ve been insulin dependent for over 22 years and have used an insulin pump for the last 12 years. This little device is so wonderful in allowing a person with IDDM to live as close to normal as possible, without rigid times and schedules for meds, food, whatever... It only means a bit more self checks of my glucose levels and staying in tune with the condition.  In fact, I now wear a continuous glucose monitoring system by DEXCOM  It picks up glucose readings from under the skin and send the info wirelessly to a receiver I carry. I’m trying to get one by my pumpmaker: MINIMED I won’t say this is as accurate as the usual finger stick tests, but it’s good for seeing trends and such in my daily levels. I still use the normal blood tests, but this is a nice thing and who knows where this will lead for all people with diabetes?

We all have a ‘Response-ABILITY’ to live well for ourselves and those who love us. Life’s what you make it and mine’s pretty darn nice.
