Shelly Lipkin is the theatre program director for YMA (Young Musicians & Artists). Lipkin trained at U.S.I.U School of Performing Arts, San Diego. He has acted for Artist Repertory Theatre, Profile Theatre, Cygnet\Theatre and Tygres Heart Shakespeare in Portland, Oregon, Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, California, Santa Fe Repertory Theatre, and PCPA in Santa Maria, Ca. He is co-author of Vitriol & Violets - Tales From The Algonquin Round Table (Winner of the Literary Art's Oregon Book Award - Angus L. Bowmer Award for Drama, 2004). Lipkin also teaches acting for The Lakewood Theatre in Lake Oswego.

Based upon Louisa May Alcott’s child-hood we follow the lives of five sisters as they learn the hard lessons of poverty while growing up in New England during the Civil War. The March sisters must get along without their father (as he is away fighting).
Meg is the oldest and takes care of everyone; Jo is a tomboy who yearns to write; Beth is the nurturing type; Amy is the youngest (and is a bit of a princess). Together they share adventures, loves (Laurie, the neighbor boy and John Brooke, his teacher) and loss.
It is a heart-warming tale for the whole family.

A musical presentation of family life in a small Jewish village, Anatevka, Russia. The play is set in 1905 and is largely concerned with showing how one dairyman’s family, his wife Golde and their five daughters,Tzeitel, Hodel, Chava, Shprintze and Beilke cope with their harsh existence under Tsarist rule.
Times are changing and the old traditions are being replaced by new ways of doing things.
