Londonist

I was really chuffed that this photo that I took on Hampstead Heath during the Chap Olympiad was picked up by londonist.com, a website that I read religiously for updates on what’s happening in London.

I have not been updating the website for more than two weeks now because of Apple’s migration from the old, occasionally wonky .Mac service to the new, iPhone-ready and completely unreliable MobileMe service. Access was completely cut off for days, some people could not access emails, businesses’ websites went down, and all in the name of the 3G iPhone. Apple should just give every .Mac (I can’t bring myself to call it .Me) user a free iPhone.

Although the Straits Times is rightly maligned as a sub-standard paper that is full of grammatically suspect articles that sometimes border on Pravda-style editorialising, I still read it first thing in the morning to catch up with what’s happening in Singapore. This must be a sign that I am still a Singaporean after a year in the UK.

So, it is 6am and I am going through the pages when I see this :-

Now, I know that mrbrown parodied the Malaysian Cabinet in a recent podcast for charging everyone, including all Singaporeans, with sodomy (“it worked against Anwar the first time”) but to accuse Condi Rice?

They removed the offending headline soon thereafter but fortunately I had saved a pdf copy of this classic headline.
