Quick Feet + Powerful Extension
      on-ice and off  --- so your first steps out of a turn will be
      QUICK, POWERFUL,  and EFFICIENT.    Make every step count.

Practice the feeling of applying force through your center of gravity:

        1)  Lean till you feel like you’re going to fall ... Entire body extended, not PIKE position;
        2)  Load up one leg ... bend the knee comfortably, don’t overdo it;
        3)  Just when you think you’ll fall to the ice - - - - - EXPLODE !!!

Eventually, do this out of tight turns in either direction, because starting from a standstill rarely occurs in a hockey game.

Lean, Load, Explode
Efficient
Inefficient

It’s the same physics
in every sport. Sprint photos of Rodney Glass
