Is it worth practicing
every day ???

Alternate: 30 weighted pucks or weighted stick ... then 30 normal weight ...
try drilling a hole, so some pucks are lighter -- for quicker hands.

Add resistance drills: heavy sticks, rubber band resistance, steel pucks ...
but always finish with normal weight shots, looking at target!

Practice realistic game-like shooting drills -- not so comfortable as simply
coasting straight toward the net. Try skating into the zone, cutting
sharply and skating parallel to the blue line, then shooting. This is
a shot that you can get off in a game, because the D can’t take
away space as easily. Shoot one-timers when the pass isn’t
between your feet, and you have to adjust by skating “around” it.

This is how Ovechkin
gets off more shots
than anyone in the
league -- 49% of his
team’s shots.

He practices
releasing the puck
without coasting to get
comfortable.
