History

Founded in 1992, Words on the Beach was originally created as a word-processing service, based out of owner Elkin Zapata’s home. Within a few short months, the business had grown too big for a home based operation and was subsequently moved to a small office at 420 Lincoln Road. Six short months later, "Words" (as some people call us), expanded to a storefront location on Michigan Avenue in the Lincoln Road shopping district and services grew to include photocopying, printing and graphic design. Words began servicing the Miami Beach business community, and has now expanded to include many clients throughout the United States and overseas. As a print, design and copy center, Words keeps evolving to meet the needs of the community by providing a variety of business services featuring state-of-the-art equipment. At it’s present location since 1995 (on Drexel Avenue, just off Lincoln Road) Words has become the preeminent South Beach printing and business service destination for not-for-profit, for-profit, local, national and international clients. Words has built a great reputation with creativity, consistency, attention to detail, reasonable prices, and most importantly, customer service. Words also operates as an extension to companies, large and small, under the broad category of "Business Services". These services can be as basic as photocopying or as complex and involved as developing corporate identity and image. Words works particularly well with clients who have an idea of what they want but lack the human resources or equipment to produce their concepts. The success of Words has been measured by the personal relationships that we have developed with clients and the repeat business and customer loyalty we enjoy.
