I have set up my studio in the fertile green region of Chester County one hour from the center of Phila., Pa..  I come to making functional art objects by way of a winding but enchanted path,  through visual art, musical performance, restoration carpentry, and antique furniture repair.  This winding path leads me to make objects that honor the inherent qualities of all materials while recognizing that the making of each object is a unique performance, one that must respond authentically to the requests of the moment.  My goal is to invent objects that are original and personal yet relevant to everyday use and appreciation.  I tend to use materials that have already had a life, to take advantage of the
