Popular Mechanics is reporting a “top 15 new technology concept for 2006″ implanted medical devices going wireless. I’m not sure how “new” the concept is, since I know pacemakers have exchanged data over a modem for quite a while. But, much like cars contain a network of computers talking to each, a variety of medical implants will probably do this as well.
