Yearning for the winter lights

I miss the early evenings in winter with a light rain dancing off the magically lit streets of central Glasgow, and gently refreshing the air.
There is energy and possibility in the air, the summer just seems to make me feel so tired.
Anyway ......this Thursday take Ronno for a meal and to see the Dirty Demographic at their first gig in Glasgow since before last Christmas (who are the Dirty Demographic, see this previous post).
A week on Friday meet up with work mates from my previous post for lunch, and an afternoon of banter over I believe pear cider. We have all kept in touch as we promised to do - they are incredibly nice people :)
Currently listening to Richard and Linda Thompson  “I want to see the bright lights tonight”, which has this elegiac quality, an almost perfect mix of folk and rock. The sentiments of the title song close to how I feel, roll on Thursday and next Friday (if it were October it would be perfect).
And....currently reading “The Delivery Room” by Sylvia Brownrigg - an astonishing and moving book. The central character a psychotherapist born in Serbia, who battles her own individual trauma while seeking to assist her clients to find their way through troubled lives.
Andre have added your site to  “ blogs to seek out”, sorry I had neglected to do this previously.
