Just wanted to announce that on the second Sunday in September (September 12, 2010) at 1:30 after Sunday morning services we will be going to Westbrook Gardens Senior Living Community to sing for all who would listen or would like to join in.  We encourage members of neighboring churches to come join us as well anyone who would enjoy participating.

Sister Margaret had surgery clearing out the blockage in her carotid artery today.  The doctors said it went well but we need to continue to keep her in our prayers as the recovery time is very delicate.  The belief is that this was the cause of her stroke and dizzy spells so hopefully this will prevent any further problems.

Today we laid to rest a dear one that lived only for a short time but has made a great impact on us all.  Brian Jacob Winchester was born August 09, 2010 and past away August 10.  During the short time we had with him, we were blessed to feel the love of God with every passing minute.  Services were held at the Purcell Cemetery at 11 A.M. and was followed by lunch at the Purcell church.  Though at this time we are saddened, we can rejoice in the fact that he is now with the Lord.  The family would appreciate all your prayers and support.

Please remember Bro. Douglas Morris in your prayers.  He had surgery on his carotid artery which was successful and is now recovering at home.  It is a blessing that his doctors noticed the problem and were able to help Bro. Douglas but he will continue to need our love and support through the recovery progress.
