Select from 3 types of gouged cane: Rieger, Pisoni, and Argendonax.  Each type of cane has unique qualities that are ideal for different performance situations.  Rieger is consistently dense cane (medium to hard) and is perfect for all types of playing.  Pisoni cane is high quality hard cane that allows for easy playing in the high register and provides heavier resistance throughout the bassoon’s entire register.  Argendonax is softer cane perfect for students, playing soft passages, and for second bassoonists.

 

All gouged cane is shipped to you only after passing my quality cane tests along with being tested with a hardness tester to ensure that you receive the highest quality cane.  If you have a preference for a particular hardness of cane please feel free to request either Hard, Medium, or Soft cane.
