After each reed blank ages for at least 2 months the finishing process can begin.  Each finished reed is hand scraped and tested to play at a professional concert level.  Tested and played on a late 6000 series Heckel, reeds are designed to play with a round tone, ease of dynamic range, free blowing quality, and are tuned to A440.  Each reed is played and tested for a two week period prior to being shipped to ensure stabilization and maximum performance quality from the first time it’s played.
