The Buffalo Iron Man
 
     Reports of monsters like Sasquatch and Nessie remain big news even in these modern times with expeditions searching for proof of their existence a common occurrence. And sightings of lesser known cryptids such as Lake Champlain’s  ‘Champ’, the Ropin (a pterodactyl)of the New Guinea rain forest and the Chupacabra of the southwestern United States and Mexico also manage to find their way into the public eye, albeit thru the skewed perspective of the tabloids.
    And there are those who believe the earth is home to strange and mysterious forces. Places like Stonehenge, Machu Picchu, and The Great Pyramid are centers of these forces attracting scores of visitors hoping to touch the unknown.  
    One thing these phenomenon have in common is that they occur, and have occurred naturally. And baring any monstrous mutations brought on by toxic waste or nuclear fallout, they are not man made. 
    One exception to this is The Buffalo Iron Man, a mechanical man that according to numerous reports roamed the streets of Buffalo, New York from 1949 to 1972. It's true there were rumors that some sort of automaton was built in the the mid to late 1800's near Niagara Falls, New York, but no connection between the two has ever been suggested. And eyewitness accounts suggest the Buffalo Iron Man was a sentient being. Even referring to itself by name on the only occasion it spoke. Continue...
