The Legend:

Tales of a Robot or Mechanical Man that roamed the train yards and alleyways of Buffalo New York date as far back as 1947. However the sightings increased considerably after 1963 and continued for several years resulting in a number of dubious albeit compelling photographs.
The alleged sightings, many of which occurred at night, all described a tall thin metallic figure walking along the train tracks or around some of the areas warehouses and factories. If spotted it would move quickly into the shadows and out of sight sounding like so many pots and pans as it ran.
As ridiculous as the idea of a robot wandering the streets of the Queen City sounds, the sightings were far too numerous and consistent in detail to be ignored. And in December of 1968, multiple witnesses including two police officers encountered the robot at the Zeno Moving and Storage building on Exchange Street after a maintenance worker discovered it hiding in the basement.
