Pulitzers
The image above is Adrees Latif’s winning image for this year’s Pulitzer Prize in photojournalism. The image depicts a scene from the Burmese riots. On the right is a Japanese videographer as he is fatally wounded (still holding his camera). The rest of the image is a dramatic tangle of pain and fear. It is messy and technically imperfect and in the end it makes no difference, Latif was there when it mattered. Let that be today’s lesson to us all.
