INBOUND   On arrival, if there are any problems with the load, or the refrigeration, or the trailer, NOTIFY the On-duty Guard. Temperature controlled loads are constantly monitored by the driver when outside the DCT terminal, and, by the On-duty Guard while inside the terminal.  On arrival, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, refrigeration fuel tanks should be FILLED on LOADED and EMPTY trailers. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, refrigeration fuel tanks should be FILLED on LOADED and EMPTY trailers if the tank is less than 3/4 full.

OUTBOUND  When a driver leaves the DCT terminal the driver is responsible for the condition of the load, and the condition of the trailer, including the condition of the refrigeration equipment and fuel.    Inspect the load, the paperwork, and equipment carefully before you leave the DCT terminal.

PARKING  All trailers must be parked and dropped as instructed by the On-duty Guard before   the driver leaves the DCT terminal unless Dispatch or the On-duty Guard has given other instructions.  EXCEPTION: If the driver is sleeping in the tractor or the tractor is unlocked with a key that will enable terminal and shop personnel to move the tractor and trailer quickly, the trailer does not need to be dis-connected. REASON FOR THE ABOVE: If the trailer needs to be repaired, fueled, or moved because of an emergency, terminal and shop personnel must be able to move the equipment quickly.


Make sure that your personal vehicle(s) are registered with the On-duty Guard.  Unregistered vehicles may be denied terminal access.


Owner Operator and Company driver’s personal vehicles must be parked in the space assigned to their tractor.  Any exception must be cleared by Dispatch to avoid relocation fees.


If you violate DCT parking instructions do not be surprised if you receive a written notice of failure to cooperate.  The parking privilege can be changed by management.


Do not do tractor servicing and/or maintenance within the DCT terminal without specific permission.


STOPPING    Do not stop or park in the area between the two shop buildings unless instructed to do so by dispatch, on duty guard or shop personnel.


FAILURE  TO  COOPERATE  can result in denial of privilege or termination.


RESPONSIBILITY  Every person in the DCT terminal is responsible for their action and inaction.  DCT takes no responsibility for theft or damage to personal vehicles or Owner Operator tractors. Protect your property.

Cooperate with the On-duty Guard. 

Observe the 5 MPH speed limit for all vehicles on DCT property.

Open and leave open the curbside door on empty trailers.  Remove trash.

Park only in the area designated by the On-duty Guard.

Enter by pulling up to the Fuel Islands and stopping for inspection.

Refrigerated produce loads must be inspected and not locked or sealed.

Avoid blocking other vehicles.

Trailers are inspected by the On-duty Guard when arriving and leaving.

Exit only after receiving an OK from the On-duty Guard
