Christmas came early yesterday when my new camera arrived late in the day.  By the time I was ready to try some photographs, it was getting dark so I made some images of this nautilus shell in my studio.  I hand held both the shell and the camera.  I am very pleased with the results!

 

Of course, a blurred image is no way to test the full capabilities of a 21 MP camera, but I simply had to initiate this new tool.  I will be finding a good “sharp” subject, hopefully a trip to Yosemite Valley (1.5 hrs from here), early next week in order to better test this camera’s quality.
