Katie 9 yr old IDSH mare by Kildalton Gold out of a TB mare.  Bred by Marcie Quist and professional started by Craig Kellog.  Brought along through the levels by Karen Garret with the help of trainer Tom O’Carroll.   Katie is unquestionably a prelim packer for CDEs in both a single and pair.  She also rides beautifully and has hunted and been shown in ridden dressage.  Katies most recent show accomplishments include winning the dressage and marthon plus her class of prelim single horse at AZ CDE and winning the marathon at Southern Pines and placing 3rd over all and won the 2007 IDHSNA driving award  !  The picture with the donkey below perfect portrays Katie’s temperment.  While warming up for dressage, a loose donkey came galloping into the ring braying for its mom and found Katie.  Most horses would be freaking out at any loose animal let alone a donkey but lucky for Karen, Katie was not phazed by this and after the donkey was captured, she went on to have a fabulous dressage !  

Katie also carries some wonderful Irish draught bloodlines.  Kildalton Gold was one of the most successful RID stallions in the history of the breed. He is by Merry Gold (by Lahinch) and out of Kildalton Countess(by Ben Purple) dam of many approved RID stallions including Diamond Lad, Diamonds are Trumps, Glidawn Diamond, Kildalton Crest, Kildalton King and Pride of Kildalton.   She would be a grand addition to a sport horse breeding program.
