Bring Home a Little Magic
When I get back from WDW at the end of September I will bring up the Halloween decorations from the basement and start decorating. I love all my Halloween stuff but without a doubt the best thing I have is my “life sized” hitchhiking ghost from the haunted mansion. Plug him in and he lights up with a very sickly green glow - I wish I had all three of them. Putting him out in the front lawn gives me a kind of pleasure that should, I admit, be reserved for more important things, but what do you want me to say? I love him!
I’m not willing to leave the happiness I get from Disney stuff back in Orlando. I listen to music from the parks on several CDs that I’ve bought and you don’t have to be at WDW to buy them. Amazon has a few for sale. (click here to see them) I admit that when I’m alone at home I’m listening to “Grim Grinning Ghosts” and “In the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room....”
I’m not the type to have Disney show curtains and bedding (bet you think I was!) but I love my Disney ring tones (“When You Wish Upon a Star” and Mickey’s voice telling me that I have a call). I have monorail salt and pepper shakers and - maybe even better than the ghost - I have the monorail that goes around my Christmas tree.
But the absolute best is what I found on a message board last week - a guy named Dean Rice actually recreates rides at home and make his own “Soarin’ “ ride. You have to take a look above at his You Tube video. If you love WDW it will absolutely make your day!
