Walt Disney World Planning the Cheri Way
Final Thoughts - Disneyland Paris
I need to give Disneyland Paris another chance someday - the very next time I am in Paris I will do just that.
I didn’t do any research, make any reservations. study the transportation system, buy tickets in advance - nothing. I did it all wrong and have no one to blame but myself for any problems.
But there is something else I have to admit - I am kind of hooked on Walt Disney World in Florida. I wasn’t even all that enthralled with Disneyland in California, which is pretty blasphemous for a Disney fan to think, let alone say out loud. So I was probably comparing it unfairly to WDW.
Disneyland Paris is beautiful. There is a lot there that is the same but in a kind of “new and improved way”, as if the “imagineers” had another chance to tweak things they hadn’t been happy with the first time around.
I don’t get the Indiana Jones ride at all - that should go. It has no theme, no back story, like every other Disney attraction I’ve ever seen. I thought there would be some Nazis chasing us or paths crumbling under us. Like any other exciting, imaginative Disney attraction it should have been a miracle that we made if off the ride alive.
No Nazis. No danger. It’s just a jerky roller coaster that gave me whiplash.
Other than that everything is just really cute. And I really loved it! If we can just get Paris to embrace the beauty of faster moving queues, we’d have ourselves one heck of a theme park.
