Tables in Wonderland
Do you ever wonder, as do I, what goes on in the minds of marketing people? I guess somebody got paid a whole bunch of money to rename what used to be called “Disney’s Dining Experience” to “Tables in Wonderland”. I also guess it doesn’t matter much to me, so long as they don’t change the actual benefits of it.
For $60 if you are and annual pass holder and for $85 if you are a Florida resident, you can become a member of Disney’s “Tables in Wonderland and save 20% on most food and drink (yes, even alcohol) at WDW. Having just this past trip given my its first try, I can tell you that is is definitely a money saver.
The card was only refused at one restaurant - apparently you can only use if for lunch and not dinner at Tokyo Dining at the Japan pavilion at EPCOT. The list of restaurants and everything else you need to know about Tables in Wonderland is here at the Allears website - http://allears.net/din/dde.htm .
The only catch, as I’ve said before, is that an automatic 18% tip is tacked on the your bill, but I usually leave 20%, so it isn’t any big deal to me. I guess this is only a big deal if you are a tremendous cheapskate who doesn’t tip underpaid servers that rely on tips to survive.
The Tables in Wonderland card paid for itself by day 3 and will be pure savings for our next 2 planned trips.
So, what else can I say? Get the silly thing. Whatever they want to call it, it will save you a lot of money.
