Some things about me:

- I have crooked pinkies! I think I have finally accepted this fact.
- I live in Chicago and don’t have a driver’s license. I totally know how to drive and have had a few cars in my day. However, ever since I moved down here 12 years ago, I never had the need for one. Hence, my license (Canadian license mind you) has totally expired.
- Not having a car isn’t because I’m an environmentalist or anything. It’s just because it has been easier not to have one. I’m kinda lazy. Or maybe smart. It varies from day to day.
- I’m about to GET my driver’s license, and I’m actually a bit sad about that.
- I’m getting my driver’s license with my mother-in-law during a day of doctors’ appointments. Heyyy.. get a check up, do a pap smear, drop by the DMV for a driver’s license. It’s a snap!
- I have a big fat cat named Penny.
- I have many nicknames for my husband. In this website I will call him Gus. You can see why.
- Isn’t that just the cutest moppy-haired school picture ever?
- The “Gus” on his t-shirt refers to a 1970’s Disney movie about a donkey who could kick field goals for a kid’s football team.
- Most of what I write about is inane and silly. Guess I’m like 99% of all bloggers in this fact. Except for my friend Loretta. Her blog is very useful and profound. Plus, she raises goats and pheasants!
- I have the best friends in all the world. Every one of them is cool.
- I come from a small town in the Canadian prairie. Sort of. My familial roots are there, but I grew up all over and have travelled hither and thither. This is why I know a smattering of Pidgin English, Low German and French, with occasional accents of Australian, Canadian and Chicagoan thrown in for good measure.
- My background is Mennonite. My parents were also missionaries. - I love my family to pieces! They are rocking it up there in Manitoba.
- I like trivia and consider myself an occasional loud-mouthed know-it-all. In a loving way of course.
- I think chips and salsa is the perfect snack and should be eaten often.
