Acupuncture needles are extremely thin (about the size of a human hair).  Only the highest quality prepackaged and sterilized  stainless steel disposable needles are used at North Country Acupuncture PLLC.

Acupuncture needles are inserted just below the skin surface and is not intended for deep penetration into bodily tissue.  Sensations vary from person to person with some patients feeling a momentary ache, a tingling sensation, or nothing at all.

Is it Safe?

Absolutely!  Each needle is inserted once and immediately discarded in a toxic waste disposable container as required by law.  No needle is ever used more than once.  Needles are extremely thin, about as thin as a human hair.  Only the highest quality, stainless steel, pre-sterilized and disposable needles are used.
