Amazing but true: At the end of 2006 my wife Regina still found some snow and ice in the Alps (testing her new camera). This may seem just a mild winter, yet, according to my impressions - from the Himalayas, to rain forests and deserts - climate change and environmental destruction is clearly the biggest long-term challenge we are facing. I think, this is more important than any of the current political, economical, ideological, religious or ethnic disputes. Such conflicts are preventing us from addressing the real global issues, which are affecting all of us today and risk to get worse for future generations.
