Thank you, Father, for a child’s laughter

Here is what happened on a recent outing to the playground:
Immediately upon arrival, Ellie sees a boy, whom she does not know, on a slide.  She walks up to him, points, and declares, “Time to share!”  (This is a phrase I have never uttered.)  The boy, not missing a beat, replies: “My turn!”

The next day, Ellie sits down to eat a snack on the sofa.  She grabs my hand, looks up and says, “Thank you Father, Dora TV.”  In essence, she decided we needed to pray before a snack (not a common occurrence) and that we specifically needed to say a prayer of thanks for the TV on which she watches Dora.  Because we thought this was hysterical, she very regularly comes up to me and says, “Thank you Father TV!” and giggles.  What a riot this child is!
