Rumors are true
Eleanor (Ellie) Grace Barry was born at 6:48pm February 27, 2007.
I will wait until mom and ellie get home tomorrow to fill in all the gory details. But we got checked in at 5pm and Ellie was born within 2 hours. All the nurses and midwife were surprised at how quickly this first-time mother progressed.
Lindsay had wanted to experience this al-natural, but the midwife said had she even requested meds it would have been too late.
So Ellie was born fully alert, and all the parts seem to be functioning well--even the “cry feature” which I had heard was an optional upgrade.
We will be home tomorrow morning, and look forward to begin life with our new, precious daughter.
