What's Up?

2008

Here you will find information on what is up and blooming in Utah. We expect to create several pages where you can see how things are coming along in different parts of the state. There will usually be photos, and sometimes there will be checklists or virtual hikes indicated by
. These use Google Earth, a wonderful free download: a brief user guide can be downloaded here.

Right now we have pages running for the Salt Lake area and for Zion & SW.

Browse the Photo Library with about 4000 images of plants, mostly from Utah and the Southwest. They are organized by plant families, with both English and Latin names.

As you read the descriptions of what's up you will encounter stories of invasive weeds, which are a major problem throughout the American west. Our local foothills have been very badly hit (see entry for 7/2/08).
