Gang Program Dis-Organizational Chart
Gang Program Dis-Organizational Chart
By Walter Moore, Candidate for Mayor of Los Angeles, www.WalterMooreForMayor.com
People minding their own business, waiting for a bus, get shot for no reason. The children in the neighborhood grow up thinking that’s normal. That’s L.A. in 2008: chaos.
Why? Set forth below is a picture that tells much if not all of the story: an “organizational chart” showing some -- but by no means all -- of the City’s “anti-gang” programs.
Looking at the chart, can you tell who’s in charge? That’s right: no one. Nor is there any sign that the programs’ efforts are coordinated in any way. The picture is one of chaos.
Plus, note how the DWP, Port and Airport are in the “anti-gang” program business. Neat way to hide taxes, huh? Just call ‘em “fees,” and you can give your cronies taxpayers’ money without taxpayers’ approval.
Mayor Villaraigosa has had five years to bring order to this chaos: two as a Council Member, three as Mayor. Instead, he spent, and continues to spend, all his time campaigning for the next office. So picture this: replacing him with someone who will show up for work and do the job, namely, yours truly, Walter Moore.

The source of this chart, by the way, is the “audit” prepared by a consulting firm for City Hall, at a cost to you, the taxpayer, of $500,000. Click here to read the report for yourself. (The chart is on page 10 of the “audit.”)
