Here is one of the more ridiculous photo-ops Mayor Villaraigosa has staged.  He and two members of the City Council pretend they’re doing you some good by picking up a mattress and some other junk and putting it in a trash truck.  That’s supposed to make you think they’re cleaning up the city -- as opposed to cleaning out your wallet.
