Office Apps I: Word ASSIGNMENT #4

 
 

Objective:  Reformat the document that you typed and formatted in Word Processing Assignment #3.


Starting Points:

  1. 1.Open the Word Processing Assignment #3 in Microsoft Word.

  2. 2.Choose Edit>Select All to select everything in the document.

  3. 3.Create a New Word document and save it to your Word Processing folder on the server
    as your [Last Name]-WP4.doc (EX. Hall-WP4.doc).

  4. 4.In the new documents, choose Edit>Paste Special... from the Menu. In the Paste Special window, select Unformatted Text and click OK.

  5. 5.Now, following the formatting instructions listed below.

  6. 6.Proofread and Spell-check your work (Edit>Writing Tools>Check Document Spelling). 

  7. 7.Save the file to your Word folder and the Student Drop Folder (Department\~Student Drop Folder\Hall\Office Apps I - Period #).


Formatting Changes:

Reset your Left and Right Margins to 1 inch before you begin (File>Page Setup)


Heading:

Use the Header in Word (View>Header and Footer)

Date

Period #

Align = Right


Title

Text Size = 14

Align = Centered

Style = Bold

Font Color = Blue


Paragraphs 1-2

Text Size = 10

2 Columns

Style = Italics

Align = Justified


Paragraphs 3-5

Text Size = 10

3 Columns

Align = Justified.


Paragraphs 6-8

Text Size = 10

1 Column

Align = Left


Footer

Page # (Align = Left)

Time (Use Right Tab at 6.5 inches)


Table

Text Size = 10

Create a Table with: 3 Columns, 7 Rows, Inserting the information for the different generations of iPods.

Format the table by changing the Color the inside of the table and change the text color. 


Pictures

Right-Click on the image below and save the picture to your Word Processing folder.

Insert the picture called into paragraph 1-3 using the text wrap feature. 

Resize it to fit accordingly.

Draw a Line

Use the Draw Tools to add a colored line under your Header and above your footer or add a colored border around the outside of the document with the rectangle draw tool.
