Punta Abreojos
They named the point
Open Your Eyes
Abre los Ojos
A rock and sand bulwark
Jetting into the Pacific
Protecting a lagoon, whales, osprey nests
But a sleeping watchman
Or unskilled helmsman
Would know wreckage on her stony shore
