In the past month or so I have made so many strides that I might as well let you in on a little secret. I HAVE KNOWN HOW TO READ AND WRITE FOR MONTHS!!!! I actually wrote the last post, but figured I’d sign it with Kit’s (seriously, you think a woman as advanced as me is going to use ‘Daddy’ to talk about that dude?) name so that they wouldn’t send all those governmental agencies around here. Ever see Firestarter? Exactly.
So I thought I would fill you in on what has been going on. First, I started daycare last month. That place is crazy. I go in and get there so early that I have to hang out behind the desk with some of the other kids. Then this blond headed lady always picks me up instead of the other kids. I guess if I end up MIA we’ll know who to suspect first. Today I walked around in this walker thing, and I have the sneaking suspicion that Daddy was watching me on the web cam. He probably was quite surprised with my level of mobility.
I also can pretty much stay seated if you put me there. I know how to use my arms to save myself from falling, and this is a much more conducive to playing position.
Today I really started getting up on my knees when doing tummy time. I would like to go forward, but all I can really do is ‘moon crawling’ as Pops calls it. Although I don’t think that he invented that.
I talk all the time, although I can’t seem to make words. Things will vary from my favorite word of “aahhhgoosh” to “eeeeeeeee” which seems to hurt the ears of Molly. I hope to get Ma Ma down soon so that I can wake her up (and not Daddy, cuz he is AWESOME) in the middle of the night. The rules are that she will come when she is called. Or she will pay the consequences.
Other than that, things are good. I like to bounce in my jumper, roll around the room, and pull things out of places that they shouldn’t be pulled. I can’t wait to be able to crawl and get into dog food and electrical cords!!!!
