I rediscovered this shooting two eps of The Tractor Tour Show - Triplevision / Grimes and McKee Productions, produced and directed by Eamonn Devlin for the Beeb, shot along-side cameraman Mark Jervis and other ‘happy’ campers :). Unlike most people who get midge bites, I get eaten alive, and my bites swell up like big red, lumpy bruises, which fill with fluid after a few days. So it makes sense to swop the humble domestic midge for the exotic mosquito, right? It’s goodbye Northern Ireland, hello Central America for a two-week tour of Guatemala, Honduras, Belize and Mexico. Just realised that it’s only been a year since i turned freelance (8 August to be precise), and like many milestones this one has passed unnoticed. Feels like longer; in fact I thought it was longer! This trip will make a great anniversary!

On holiday from 17 August to 1 September, with limited availability in the first week of September. Adiós amigos!
It starts tomorrow, Monday, 5th, 7.30pm (GMT) on TG4, Virgin 877 or Sky 177. For those without Irish, it’s available with teletext subtitles. Along with many other gems, the first programme features the new Lotus Europa and the updated BMW X5 in beautiful Athens. I’m particularly proud of the compositing / picture-in-picture packages and music editing throughout the series, which features some unsigned bands of jaw-dropping quality and diversity. All of them deserve contracts.

Under a little bit of pressure to lock down the next couple of shows, but I’ll try to cut a quick trailer, or some excerpts for podcast after first broadcast :)
