Original Tailgate Lid
This lid is the one in my truck, poorly packed with those random-ready access things that I never had a spot for.
There have been a lot of changes since I made this one, but it still serves us well.
80 Lid
This 80 tailgate lid has the regular plastic and cam lathes.
Custom Lid
This tailgate lid with grip plastic and cam latches was built for an FJ45 Wagon.
Materials
Stainless steel button head screws are used all around.
The piano hinge is also stainless.
The plastic is marine grade HDPE and the steel parts are laser cut for accuracy
Metal Work
The frames are shaped over and bolted into fixtures to ensure a reliable fit.
All the joints are then TIG welded together.
60 Lid: Grip Plastic
This shows the grip plastic texture on 60 series tailgate lid.
This is a $15 add-on option, I only recommend it for those who’s dogs use the tailgate to enter and exit the truck.
60 Lid
An overall view of the same lid, the grip texture blends well with the rest of the lid, it has a bit more of a shine than the regular plastic.
Note: All frame prices are in the progress of going up by $15 to cover the change-over to powder coating
$15 Grip plastic option available on either series. (for the dogs)
There is a waiting list for all lids and panels.
To have your named placed on the waiting list email me at:
There is no down payment required and your place in line is not binding.
